1 Timothy 6:10
What’s hidden in your heart that could be holding you back? Achan saw something beautiful, something valuable—and he took it, hiding it beneath his tent. One man’s secret sin brought defeat to an entire nation. It’s a sobering reminder that disobedience, even when private, has public consequences. Greed doesn’t always look like piles of silver. Sometimes it’s the desire to control, the fear of not having enough, or the unwillingness to let go. God calls us to walk in honesty, not just for our sake, but for the sake of those around us. Hidden sin stifles blessing, but repentance restores relationship. When we confess what we’ve buried, we make space for healing. And when we trust that God truly is enough, we no longer need to grasp for what doesn’t belong to us. Let’s live with open hands and honest hearts.
