Psalm 56:3
Have you ever felt cornered, betrayed by someone you once trusted? David did. One moment, he was a favored servant; the next, he was a fugitive running from Saul’s spear. 1 Samuel 19 shows us how quickly fear and jealousy can transform a person—and a palace—into something dangerous. But David didn’t rely on his own strength to survive. He trusted God even when he didn’t know what the next day would hold. That’s the challenge for us: when our plans collapse and people turn against us, will we still believe God is in control? Like David, we’re called to trust, even in the chaos. Fear is real, but so is God’s protection. Let’s stop grasping for control and start resting in His promises. Safety isn’t found in our strategies—but in God’s steadfast love.
