Jacob Meets Rachel

What does it mean to love with endurance? Jacob’s story reveals a love so strong that he works seven years to marry Rachel, only to be deceived by Laban and forced to wait seven more. Through all the disappointment and betrayal, Jacob’s commitment to Rachel never wavers. His love echoes the words of 1 Corinthians 13:7: “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” Jacob’s patience reminds us that real love isn’t always easy or immediate. It’s a choice to keep going, even when challenges arise. In our own lives, God calls us to a love that endures through setbacks and tests, trusting that He is shaping our hearts along the way.
