How do you respond when temptation knocks? Joseph’s experience in Potiphar’s house shows us that integrity is a choice. When faced with relentless temptation, he declared, “How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?” (Genesis 39:9). Joseph chose God’s way over fleeting desires, and though it cost him, God’s favor remained with him. James 4:7 reminds us, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Standing firm in faith doesn’t mean trials disappear immediately, but God’s presence sustains us.
