Psalm 27:14
Are you ever tempted to step in when it feels like God is late? Saul felt the weight of fear as the Philistine threat loomed. Samuel hadn’t yet arrived to offer the sacrifice, so Saul did what he thought was necessary—he took over. But what seemed like a moment of action was actually a moment of disobedience. His impatience cost him God’s favor, revealing that faith isn’t just shown in doing, but often in waiting. We face similar crossroads today. Whether it’s relationships, finances, or our future, we’re tempted to take shortcuts when God’s timing feels too slow. But waiting isn’t passive—it’s active trust. When we obey God in uncertainty, we declare that His plan is better than our panic. May we be people who wait—not because we’re helpless, but because we trust the One who holds it all.
