Psalm 74:16
Do you believe God still answers bold prayers? When Israel’s enemies attacked Gibeon, Joshua didn’t hesitate to defend them—even though they had once deceived him. He kept his word and led his army into battle, but what followed was no ordinary fight. Joshua cried out to God, asking for more daylight—and God responded by making the sun stand still (Joshua 10:12-14). This wasn’t just a miracle of nature; it was a miracle of faith. Joshua’s prayer was fueled by trust in a God not bound by time. How often do we limit our prayers and ask small things because we fear disappointment? God invites us to trust Him with impossible requests—not to impress, but because we know He’s powerful enough to act. In our own battles, let’s remember: the same God who paused the sun hears us, too.
