Psalm 10:14
What do we do when justice stays silent? Tamar’s story in 2 Samuel 13 is hard to read. She’s betrayed by her own brother and ignored by her father. The grief is deep, not only because of what happened to her, but because no one fought for her afterward. In a world quick to move on, God never does. He sees, hears, and remembers what others would rather forget. This story confronts us with a call: to be the kind of people who don’t look away. When someone is harmed, especially by those in power, we are called to act—to comfort, protect, and seek justice. God is the helper of the helpless, and He invites us to be part of His healing work. The pain may be ancient, but the response is still needed today. Stand up. Speak truth. Don’t let silence have the final word.
