Whose plans are you trusting today—yours or God’s? Balaam thought he could outsmart God. Hired by King Balak to curse Israel, he tried again and again to speak destruction. But each time, God turned Balaam’s words into blessings. In the end, Balaam was forced to admit what we all must recognize: no one can stop the will of God. Like Balaam, we sometimes pursue our own plans, convinced we know what’s best. But God’s purposes always prevail—and they are good. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God’s thoughts toward us are of peace and hope. When we release control and trust His plans, we discover His way leads to blessing, even if it looks different from what we expected.
